How do I weather proof a hand painted table ?
I have a screen porch and I want to put the wooden hand painted table in it, however I need to do something to protect the finish. I live in So. California so the rain isnt to bad, but there is some... we have fog there in the mornings and extreme heat in the summer (though the porch is covered so there wont be any direct sunlight.
What kind of product should I use to protect it?
Use a poly. Since it will be covered for the most part, just put a couple of coats on it. If you want to keep it for a long time, make sure to do this every year. Sand between coats though. I had some hand painted flower pots and this worked well, and I live in Illinois where we do get quite a bit of rain and it had direct sunlight.
