Linoleum prep on garage floor?
My husband and I recently converted our garage into a mudroom/entry kids craft area. It looks beautiful but ran out of$$$ to do the floors. We originally thought we'd have someone tile but it is a secondary entry and we've seem some really high quallity linoleum we've decided it's just as well and more affordable. We have a standard cement garage floor. It is level but has small texture like a ceiling would i guess. Can't we just lay linoleum over it? My husband thinks we have to smooth it. Is there some kind of first layer of lino we can do? I don't want to re-cement the floor.
It needs to be smooth, you can rent cement sanders.
