How many Blue Mountain Pottery shops were availabled?
1) How many Blue Mountain Pottery shops/factories were availabled before they closed? Were all their shops located in Canada only excluding their offices?
2) What kind of color clay did Blue Mountain use, judging by the bottom of the pottery ? Is it white or red (excluding the glaze)? What's their official marking or logo looks like on the bottom?
Blue Mountain Pottery's one and only factory was in Collingwood, Ontario, though they sold their work to shops all across Canada and exported globally.
Most of their pottery was made using red clay, (not brown) although some limited series' were done with white clay. There are hundreds of knock-off BMP replicas, and it appears you have to be fairly knowledgeable to identify the real thing.
